Aint No Stoppin Us Now- NSU Spartan Legion Band

This is the most rhythmically intricate arrangement I have ever heard. The use of harmony and color in the cylindrical and conical of the brass is ingenious. This is the kind of performances that make me proud to be an alumnus of the Legion. LOYAL TO THE LEGION!!

The Stars and Stripes Forever - John Phillip Sousaaaa

This is perhaps Sousa's most famous march of all time.

Sempre Fidelis by John Phillip Sousa

John Phillip Sousa was born in Washington D.C. November 6, 1854 and and died in Washington D.C. March 6, 1932. Mr Sousa was a child prodigy having studied music from the age of 3. He started on the violin and learned how to play all of the instruments in the wind band. He is the most memorable conductor of the Presidents Own Marine Band (1880 - 1890) After leaving the Marine Band Mr Sousa started his own band that propelled his music to higher heights. John Phillip Sousa's most notable contribution to the wind band is the Sousaphone. The instrument was made by C.G. Conn at the request of Mr. Sousa. He wanted a low brass instrument that would play over the ensembles head whether sitting or standing.

Beautiful

Way to go WARRIORS!!! Nice balance and blend. You are singing through your instruments.
March of the Belgium Parachutist

Percy Aldridge Grainger

Grainger authority Ronald Stevenson has used this piece as an example of how deeply influenced Grainger was by the harmonies of African-American spiritual singing, which often embeds the main melody in the middle of the texture. Thus, Grainger harmonizes all around this Sussex folk tune, not just below it. The initial bars are straightforward enough, every note of the slow melody supported by a chord with a little rocking figure emerging in the rhythm. The harmonization becomes richer in the second statement, where Grainger builds a modest climax but devotes the second half of the section to a long, gradual decrescendo, the melody ending in harmonic simplicity and peace. ~ All Music Guide
