This is the most rhythmically intricate arrangement I have ever heard. The use of harmony and color in the cylindrical and conical of the brass is ingenious. This is the kind of performances that make me proud to be an alumnus of the Legion. LOYAL TO THE LEGION!!

Nationalist Composers
Musical nationalism refers to the use of musical ideas or motifs that are identified with a specific country, region, or ethnicity, such as folk tunes and melodies, rhythms, and harmonies inspired by them. Musical nationalism can also include the use of folklore as a basis for programmatic works including opera. The following clips are nationalist composers.
Assignment:
Choose one composer and write a paper about the person. The paper should include where the composer is from, a brief biography of the composers background and several examples of what makes this person a nationalist composer. Are there any composers or artist that you know of today that could be described as a "Nationalist Composer?" Why?
Your paper shall be 600- 800 words in length, double spaced using 12 pt font in Times New Roman. Include a cover sheet and works cited page at the end. No less than 3 sources should be used. The works cited page can be in MLA or APA format.
